Ozurgeti is the centre of Guria, set among tea plantations and river valleys. The sands of Ureki and the pine forest of Shekvetili are 15–20 minutes from town, and Bakhmaro lies up in the mountains.
Market: private houses with yards, small new apartment buildings and inexpensive land plots. Prices are significantly lower than in Tbilisi and Batumi. Alongside locals, demand comes from people working on the coast and from seasonal tenants.
Location: about 1.5 hours from Kutaisi, with the highway to Batumi running along the Samtredia–Poti corridor. Guria is compact: the sea, the mountains and the tea valleys can all be covered in a single day.
Land in Guria's villages is often inherited, so before buying verify the cadastral registration and obtain the consent of all heirs. On sivrce, Ozurgeti appears under the Guria filter.
Living costs and prices in town are low and land is cheap, while a seaside apartment in Ureki or Shekvetili earns from seasonal rentals. Choose Ozurgeti to live in, the coast for rental income.
Ureki and Shekvetili are about 15–20 minutes by car, and Grigoleti is the neighbouring resort to the north.
